Which newspaper should we read during UPSC preparation?

Ans:- Reading newspaper regularly and religiously is perhaps one of the most significant elements of UPSC preparation. Meticulous understanding of current affairs and editorials are essential for covering prelims and mains. The Hindu one of the most prestigious and celebrated newspapers published in India. The newspaper deals with relevant and to the point issues, written by some of the best ambassadors of the country. The Indian Express and Times Of India are also good options.

Ans:- This is a highly subjective question as preparation time for every individual candidate is different and completely depends on the personal abilities of the student. Various students also prepare in different circumstances, for instance, some have to study while working in an active job. Irrespective of everything it is still essential to study regularly, it is not necessary for you to study for extensive hours. However, even if you study for only 4-5 hours a day continuously for an entire year or more, make sure to do it with concentration and sincerity. Also, apart from studying on a daily basis make sure to read newspapers religiously every day.

Ans:- For any competitive examination conducted in a written format, the presentation is just as important as the content of your answer. However, contrary to the popular belief Presentation is not a synonym to handwriting. Although your Handwriting constitutes the maximum part of the presentation there are still other ways in which one can substitute the lack of not having a very good but legible handwriting, word spacing, proper margins and keeping your answer sheet neat and clean is a few among the others.

Ans:- Focus: First and foremost, nervous energy and jitters never play well with such competitive examinations. It is essential to make sure that you are completely calm and centered before writing your exam. Avoid multitasking, It is of vital significance to direct all your concentration on one thing at a time. Keep your OMR sheet clean: Avoid keeping your answer sheet directly on the table in case it stains on anything that might be on the surface. The most important point to remember while appearing for any competitive examination is to have faith in your ability and preparation.

Ans:- It’s very well said that, “Studying is not about time it’s about efforts”. The answer to this question varies from student to student. Actually the studying hours matters less than the efficacy of learning. It is less important for how long are you studying, it is more important how effectively are you studying. Initially you can start with 4-5 hours and later on you can increase the study hours to 14-16 hours as per your ability and comfort. It is quite clear that the syllabus for the UPSC exam is very extensive to cover which we have to put more efforts.
